MSSO Founder and President Emeritus:

Dr. Jagannath Wani​​​ 
Dr. Jagannath Wani  
(September 1934 - May 2017)

Founder, President Emeritus, lifeblood, compulsive worker and all-round expert, Dr. Wani’s inspiration, dedication, and sheer thoroughness built a firm, steady MSSO base. He steered the MSSO ship with superhuman effort for 25+ years, at which stage, he has ‘stepped back’ as he puts it. However, Dr. Wani steps forward a lot, to our delight. MSSO Calgary Board:

Jivan Kayande, President 

Mr. Kayande, a mining engineer, retired from ATCO POWER after 25 years of service in their Fuel Supply group. He was active in Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and served as a member of their organizing committee for 1996 annual meeting held in Edmonton. Jivan is also a member of Association of Professional Engineers of Alberta. His voluntary work spans several volunteer organizations including Hindu Society of Alberta, Maanaw Seva Association, Hindi Parishad of Alberta and Society of Friends of Nepal.

Ramesh Aggarwal, Vice-President 

Mr. Aggarwal, an engineer by profession, is the president of Polyphase Engineered Controls Ltd., an engineering firm based in Edmonton. He is associated with several cultural and religious societies. He was elected to the Board of Hindu Society of Alberta and held several positions on that Board including that of Vice-President and Treasurer.  He is a founding member of Maanaw Seva Association and Health & Education for Less Privileged Association. 

Chandrakant Lad, Treasurer

Chandrakant Lad, retired Electronics Engineer, worked for Sony Canada for 27 Years. He was involved in volunteer projects in South Gujarat and Calgary. He is a founder of Shree Prajapati Education Foundation which helps less privileged university students from South Gujarat. He raised funds for many organizations including Mother and Child health care (Andhra Pradesh) and Muni Seva Ashrasm (Baroda). He served in various postions on the board of 3 Charity organizations in Calgary. He continues to collect food for Calgary Interfaith Food Bank.

Sarvesh Thuse
Sarvesh Thuse​, Secretary

Sarvesh Thuse, a graduate in Computer Science with MCA degree from Pune University, worked with Infosys as software developer since 2007. Sarvesh came to Canada on project assignment back in 2010 to work with Canadian Pacific. Currently he is working with Rockwell Collins. He is recipient of many professional awards both in India and in Canada. Sarvesh is the youngest board member of MSSO. He intends to use his expertise in computer applications in the administration aspect of MSSO.

MSSO Toronto Chapter:

Sudhir Joshi
Sudhir Joshi, Chairman

Sudhir Joshi, a Physicist with degrees from India and Canada, and a computer professional with experience of over 25 years, is currently a director of an IT consulting company in Toronto. Sudhir has been actively engaged in social, cultural causes, especially, in the immigrant community in Canada since the early 70's. He has been an ardent supporter of Pune based Society of Friends of Sasoon Hospitals (SOFOSH). 

Ajit Bapat
Ajit Bapat, Secretary

Ajit Bapat, a retired electrical engineer, is still actively involved in consulting through his company Power Solutions. His expertise in the art and science of ground fault protection is acknowledged in North America. He has been involved with MSSO since 2009 and has also supported other charitable organizations such as the Marathi Bhashik Mandal and the Shri Ganeshyag Pariwar in Toronto since their inception. 

Harish Athale
Harish Athale, Treasurer

Harish is a senior finance professional and is presently working as a Business Unit Controller with Thomas and Betts Limited in Scarborough, Ontario. Apart from MSSO, Harish is also actively involved in the India Rainbow Community Services of Peel (IRCS) as a Policy Advisory Committee member since 2006. Harish is an ardent music lover who enjoys all genres of music, especially Indian classical music and has organized many music concerts.

Aneesh Paranjape, Director

Aneesh is a banking professional with wide experience in retail and wholesale banking. He worked for over a decade with CIBC in Risk Management and Compliance. Prior to that he was various contacting roles in the financial services sector. While working with the State Bank of India he held important positions in India and then in Toronto and New York. Aneesh has been active involved with MSSO for over 10 years and takes keen interest in its activities. Aneesh is an ardent supporter of AVANI one of the organizations which is actively funded by MSSO.

Nikhil Sathe
Nikhil Sathe, Corporate Relations

Nikhil is currently CFO of Genpro, a New Jersey based 3PL. Prior to Genpro, Nikhil worked as CFO of Kelron Logistics (Presently XPO Canada) for about 11 years. He is member of half a dozen professional organizations dealing in Supply Chain and Logistics, Finance and Private Equity. Nikhil’s active involvement within the network of corporate fraternity in Canada and USA will open new avenues for MSSO funding.
